The word is a twist, a snap,
A contortionist's lap-
In the same place,
Just erased-
Similarly unique-
An analogy in teak-
But no so wooden
So as not to be what it shouldn't-
Yet, more frantic, elastic
Like congealed plastic.
It hovers, soars,
And what's more
It's set in sludge
Unable to budge,
Writhing, contorting,
A gazelle cavorting,
Or a mole in the ground,
Nosing around-
Tickling and wheedling
Its ineffable name-
Translucent glass
Fitting its frame.
