You are hereDrifting

As time moves by, I drift in mindless boats,
I wish for more that I might here still stay
And this silent, pleasant move, this float
Does in itself, so quietly betray

The truth of the waters, on which I drift
That they are unrelenting, dark and deep
And in seconds pleasant motion shall shift
Leading to eternal, fantastic sleep

Never to wake on some menacing shore
But caught in this tilt of dream, of sleep
Caught, not in pain, no, nevermore
ever wafting here, timeless and sweet.

Such fantasies left alone can kill the soul
if not entwined with simple love, its only goal
